Rachel's Birth Story
“Every new mother deserves Ninette’s care for the duration of her pregnancy, birth and afterwards. Ninette was my midwife for the birth of both of my girls, but she was also so much more. My champion, support and friend. Her love, care and knowledge ooze from her. Her calming presence and knowing when to support and when to be hands off was perfect during birth. The ultimate ‘wise-woman’.
Both girls were born at home (which incidentally I would totally recommend, even for a first). My first daughter was a bit early, very fast and back to back. My second daughter in contrast kept us waiting and was a whopping 10lb 5oz. Without Ninette knowing how to monitor me during labour without being intrusive I think it would have been a very different experience.
I’d also like to point out that the birth of your child is one of the most important days of your life. With NHS midwives so understaffed and stretched I think it would be remiss not to consider an independent midwife. People sometimes say to me they couldn’t afford an independent midwife, however if you can afford nursery to work once the baby is born you can afford it, an independent midwife is much less per month than my daughters nursery fees! People spend thousands on weddings or holidays but don’t necessarily think to engage the services of an independent midwife for birth.
I think the mother, baby and father all deserve the continuity of care and love that Ninette brings’

Justin - A Husband's Perspective
“My wife and I engaged and entrusted Ninette as our midwife to support a home delivery for our 2 daughters (now 2 1/2 and 9 months old). We were both keen to have as natural births for our girls as possible. Having had a daughter by a previous partner which ended up in a stressful delivery via Caesarean section, which was my worst nightmare, I wanted to do everything possible to avoid a repeat for my wife.
It was important for us both to have the right person to support and guide us through the life changing events. When we met Ninette we knew she was the right person for us and everything that transpired has shown she was. Ninette is a lovely person and a calming influence and a hugely knowledgeable midwife who not only delivered our girls safely but also ensured potential issues (our first had the cord wrapped around her neck) were resolved without panic or fuss.
She went to great lengths to make sure our (particularly my wife’s) needs were met and did so with sensitivity and much love. It’s no surprise to know that we consider Ninette to be a member of our family and take great joy in seeing our oldest knowing and enjoying spending time with the beautiful lady who helped bring her into the world”.

"Ninette is my mum and has been my midwife for all three of our children (her grandchildren). Having your own Mum as a midwife, is of course, a privilege and I will be eternally grateful for this!
Although she is my mum she is always so professional and I know she treats all her families with the bespoke care they require! I really admire her passion for birth, her knowledge and experience is amazing. If you have a question day or night she will be able to answer it, she will always put any fears at ease with her calming influence!

"It feels hard to put into words what Ninette has done for us as a family, and I feel no review or words would do justice the love and care I have received - but I will try…!
Ninette has supported me throughout my first pregnancy and home birth until recently having my second home birth. When I found out I was having another baby there was no question that I wanted to invest in Ninette again… She creates a safety blanket around you during your pregnancy that is priceless.
The unwavering support and trust she has for mothers is unparalleled to others in the professional world I’ve come across . It’s like having a mother figure who is in your corner and has your back, but with all the knowledge and wisdom that comes from so many years in midwifery.
